Le présent ouvrage apporte une contribution à l’histoire des arts du spectacle à Rome entre l’avènement en 1644 du pape Innocent X, issu de la famille des Pamphilj, et la mort du cardinal mécène Pietro Ottoboni en 1740, qui marqua la fin de l’époque du népotisme.
